Curity Gauze diapersThanks to Catherine for this Frugal Baby Tip!

When I first started washing diapers for my boys, we were living in an apt. I had an apt-sized spin-washer. I doubt they even make those any more. I don't think they held more than a dozen diapers - and those were the Curity Stretch Gauze diapers!

The spin-washer hooked up to the tap with a rubber hose and drained into the sink, but mine had two sections - one to wash in, and then you took out the laundry and put it in the next section - which was the spin-dryer. I loved it - it was my first "major" appliance!

I used a folding rack with several lines on it to dry my diapers - on the balcony in nice weather - inside next to the heater the rest of the time. I didn't get a dryer to use until Michael was over a year old - that was 4 years into my cloth diapering.
